Electric Guitar was once regarded as the Devil's instrument.
The making of these God awful instruments and the sounds that came from them was a Dark Art.
The Dark Art of electrocuting guitar was invented by Rickenbacker in 1931, making semi hollow crude electrics, followed more famously by Les Paul with the first solid body in 1941 and the first real commercially successful guitar, the Fender Esquire in 1951, later renamed the Telecaster. In 1954 the most famous guitar of all time appeared, the Stratocaster.
The first effect was probably the leslie speaker and first effect pedal, well no one really knows, but they came to prominence with the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck in the mid 1960's, who plugged their guitars into effects pedals and then let rip through a wall of Marshall speakers. Fan-bloody-tastic!
Unfortunately great effects pedals are expensive.
But you no longer have to sell your soul at the crossroads to get "your sound".
Dark Art have guitar effects pedals that can help you find "your sound" and they're affordable.
They also look cool, which never hurts.
Electrical Guitar is a wonderful, magical instrument that can free you, it can lift you up and drop you down, it can transport you to anywhere you want to be. Playing electric guitar is a way of life. Live it. Love it. Take it to the edge and push the damn thing over. Get everything you can out of it, cause one day you'll be dead and they may not sell electric guitars in heaven.
Be obsessed with electric guitar and get "your sound".
Getting "your sound" is a Dark Art.
